Taylor Buck (they/them)

I’m a queer, trans therapist and writer/art-maker originally from the PNW. I came up as an organizer in Chicago, have spent a lot of years in community mental health and outdoor ed, and now offer private 1:1 and relationship sessions online across Washington state and in-person in Seattle.

My work is rooted in the understanding that mental health can’t be separated from the systems we move through. I’m staunchly decarceral in my approach, meaning I reject punitive models of care and bring harm reduction (and anti-policing) to experiences of substance use, self-harm, suicidality, and other coping strategies. I don’t shy aware from these topics, nor will I leverage my power to usurp your agency. I’m also pro sex work, pro kink, and well-versed in poly/ENM/RA.

I believe this work is nonlinear, and fundamentally tied to connection — with your body, your sense of self, and other people. My role is to support you in getting to know yourself and your world more deeply so you can live into your creativity and power and nurture meaningful connections in your life.

MY background

I have over 10 years of experience working with queer and trans street-based youth, women and young people navigating houselessness + drug use + mental health struggles, and people in or recently released from prison. In my work with clients, there is no story or experience that's too much for me.
